A flexible LL.M student with a solid educational background and working experience in the legal and shipping sector. In 2012 she graduated from the Law Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. As an undergraduate student she set proper and coherent basis for her future career as a lawyer by participating in team class projects, which developed her into an excellent team player. During her last year of studies she specialised in competition law in the maritime sector, as she worked on a team class project with the topic “Competition and Shipping Company: Consequences of repeal of Regulation 4056/1986 by the Regulation 1419/2006.” The oral presentation received excellent critique and grade.

She has worked in two shipping companies as an assistant in the Legal Dept as well as as a trainee lawyer in a Greek law office, where she dealt with financial loan agreements, insurance contracts and company issues. She became familiarised with the process of civil lawsuits and participated actively in the court process by accompanying lawyers to the court. Accomplished part of her training as a lawyer in a court, where she cooperated with judges and dealt with civil law trial application and documents.

During her postgraduate studies at the University of Southampton she was served with two distinctions. As a result she was awarded the Campbell Johnston Clark Prize for the best combined mark across two LLM modules, International Trade Law and Carriage of Goods by Sea, which includes a one week work placement at the firm’s London offices. She is currently working on her dissertation in International Trade Law with the topic: “Laytime and Demurrage: The reflection of the carriage regime in sale contracts and implications.”
